Model Railroad Days at the Oceano Depot….

 

Model Railroad Days (MRD) at the depot is our longest running model train show. The January 2016 show will mark the ninth year of our annual event.  It has always been free to the public, but donations are gladly accepted to help defray the costs of putting the show together.

 

The SLOMRA and Oceano Depot Association work closely in producing this well attended event. The SLOMRA raises funds by selling used and/or donated model trains and accessories at their swap table.  The Depot sells food and assorted depot promotional items to help fund improvements and cover maintenance costs.

 

The show had humble beginnings with temporary setups of Lionel trains and a few modules. Since the show and the group have grown, we are only able to display our latest modules as we now have more trains than there is room for in the depot!!
